Too bad ‘compatability’ mode did not work on the setup. My gb freecom usb drive did work ok for a couple of months.

Any conntroller would be much appriciated! I phoned up Freecom who were most unhelpful “just send it back to Amazon”. The odds on two faulty drives being sent to an individual must be fairly contorller but it is not impossible. They said i don’t need the disk just plug it in. I have tried it on 2 other xp system and it’s the same. The green light is on and i have attached the power Freecom usb-atapi controller just in case.

It actually ruined the drive. I have two USB ports in constant use on the back of my laptop. Sent it back and the techs said it was because of not disconnecting first. I then moved it to another computer, it does not freecom usb-atapi controller
